iLearn Bedford removes barriers and creates an environment of personal success and empowerment.

iLearn Bedford is a family focused charity that offers essential support and resources to women and their children from diverse backgrounds, addressing economic challenges, limited access to resources, and social isolation.

The charity provides a lifeline for families with young children, especially those with SEND, through a safe and welcoming environment that promotes inclusivity and offers tailored activities and support services.

We operate as a foundation charitable incorporated organisation and most of our recent activities have been delivered through grants, donations and small funds. Working closely with long-held and developing partnerships and our relationship with Bedford Borough Council and our funders, iLearn Bedford intends to be a strong organisation that will be an exemplar in user-led services and innovative activities.

While iLearn Bedford’s roots are in Kingsbrook Ward, which has high deprivation and high inequalities, the services are open across Bedford and many of our successful celebratory and heritage events have been delivered outside the ward.
